The FX 250 includes a primary handset equipped with a large color LCD
display and mobile phone-style keys, allowing you to make phone calls and
send SMS messages, including larger SMS content beyond 160 characters. This
feature is particularly beneficial for crew members accustomed to texting
from their GSM mobiles onshore.

Internet connectivity is straightforward with an RJ45 Ethernet connection
to onboard networks. The FX 250 supports both Single User and Multi-User
Router modes, with MAC address filtering and user control of NAT, DHCP
functions, and PPPoE.

The FleetBroadband terminal’s continuous GPS output feature allows GPS data
to be transmitted via the RS232 port in standard NMEA 0183 format, providing
accurate position information to onboard systems. It also supports external
GNSS input in NMEA 0183 format via the RS232 port.

With built-in Wi-Fi, the user interface is accessible via any web browser,
including Wi-Fi-enabled devices such as smartphones and tablets. The FX 250’s
Wi-Fi connection also offers wireless Push-to-Talk (PTT) service to
smartphone users using applications like Zello, without requiring additional
hardware.
