  Sublimation printing is a method of printing that transfers a design to a
  material by using heat and ink. This unique printing method changes the
  solid particles of the ink into a gaseous state without first changing
  them into a liquid. It is a cost-effective method popularly used to customize
  clothing, and other materials, including drinkware.

  The process of using sublimation printing for mugs and water bottles is
  simple. First, we select a blank mug or bottle. We then coat the item in a
  polymer to make it dye-receptive. Without this stage, the dye will not bond
  to the material as it should.

  Next, we take the design and print it onto a special transfer
  paper using sublimation ink. This specific ink will transform from solid
  particles into gas particles when it receives heat. Once we print the image
  onto the transfer paper, we then wrap it around the mug or apply it to the
  side of the mug, receiving the design. We mirror the transfer paper or apply
  it backwards, so the design comes out right correctly.

  The next step is heat transfer. We place the mug into a cup press then
  apply heat to transfer the design onto the mug. When this happens, the ink
  bonds with the mug materials, creating a durable and long-lasting
  image.

  mugs are unique temperature-sensitive mugs. They change colour when
  exposed to high temperatures, such as when filled with hot liquids. We use
  sublimation printing to create these mugs.
