The Cat 6 type cable complies with the Gigabit Ethernet cable standard and is backward compatible with lower category standards (Cat 5/5e and Cat 3). Category 6 evolves over category 5E, allowing transmission frequencies of up to 250 MHz (in each pair) and a transfer speed of up to 1Gbps. It also has features and specifications to avoid crosstalk (or crosstalk). This type of data cable is used for 10Base-T, 100Base-T and 1000Base-T (Gigabit Ethernet) installations.
